Interested in Purchasing Hatching Eggs?
If you are interesting purchasing Magpie duck hatching eggs, I am more than happy to provide them. However, I ask that you read the below paragraphs in red before deciding you want to purchase hatching eggs that must be shipped.
I do offer hatching eggs for sale to those that understand shipping eggs is always a risk. As soon as the box of eggs leave my hands, they are subject to any number of abuses in the postal system. I pack my eggs with care, but shaking, X-raying, and exposure to temperature extremes during transit can internally damage a viable egg. A fertile, viable egg can be rendered non-viable due to this rough treatment. It is out of my control.
The time the box spends in transit is also out of my control, unless you pay for express shipping. Priority mail might only take two to three days on average, but it can actually take a week or more. A package is not considered lost by the USPS until it is gone for more than three weeks.
I've had trouble in the past with people not realizing that once the USPS has their eggs, I can do absolutely nothing.
I do not ship eggs that are older than a couple of days old and I ship promptly. So if it does take a week for the package to reach you, then at least they should still be viable.
If any eggs arrive broken, I require a photograph of the broken eggs. I will reimburse you for the cost of any broken eggs, if more are broken than extras sent. I ALWAYS send extras, to guard against reduced viability and potentially broken eggs. To date, no eggs I have sent have arrived broken, cracked, crushed, or otherwise externally damaged.
If you are interested in hatching eggs, shoot me an email. I will only send out eggs when I know fertility is good, so they aren't available during late fall, the winter, and early spring. Sometimes I have a lot of hens broody at one time, which means I am getting few eggs. I will try to get you what you want when you want it, but animals are dynamic and don't often stick to human schedules!
